How to extend the service life of hard sealed butterfly valves
Hard sealed butterfly valves mainly serve as shut-off and throttling valves on pipelines. The butterfly valve opening and closing part is a disc shaped butterfly plate that rotates around its own axis within the valve body to achieve the purpose of opening, closing or adjusting.. Hard sealed butterfly valves are suitable for pipelines conveying various corrosive and non corrosive fluid media in furnaces, gas, steam, natural gas, urban gas, cold and hot air, chemical smelting engineering, and power generation environmental protection systems. They are used to regulate and cut off the flow of media.
In order to extend the service life of hard sealed butterfly valves, we should pay attention to the following issues in daily trials:
1. The bolts welded on the hard sealed butterfly valve disc should not be too long, otherwise they will be too long and block the flow channel inside the valve body, causing the sealing surface to be "elevated" and unable to play a sealing role; During assembly, attention should be paid to checking and adjusting the opening of the screw rod to ensure that the sealing surface can tightly connect.
2. Choose a suitable adjustment pad, with a thickness slightly lower than or equal to the height of the steps on the sealing surface of the hard sealed butterfly valve disc, so that the soft sealing pad and the sealing surface of the hard sealed butterfly valve disc are tightly attached and in the same plane.
3. To prevent the compression nut from falling off, appropriate anti loosening measures should be taken after the nut is tightened.
4. The use conditions of the fluid medium should be considered, and a soft sealing gasket suitable for the medium requirements should be selected to avoid medium corrosion or high-temperature deformation that may affect its use.
When the sealing surface of the hard sealed butterfly valve seat is severely damaged, the valve seat can be scrapped, and the valve core can still be used in conjunction with the same specification valve seat after improvement.
6. When adjusting the valve, marks should be made to avoid sudden opening and closing, in order to avoid affecting the service life of the hard sealing butterfly valve gasket.
