Product Introduction
A worm gear operated wafer type PTFE seat butterfly valve is a type of industrial valve used to control the flow of fluids or gases. The valve consists of a wafer-type body with a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) seat and a disc that rotates around an axis perpendicular to the flow of the fluid or gas. The disc is controlled by a worm gear, which is a type of mechanical device that transmits torque and motion through the rotation of a worm (a screw-like gear) and a mating gear (a wheel with teeth).
The PTFE seat of the valve provides excellent chemical resistance, making it suitable for use in harsh environments where corrosive fluids or gases are present. The wafer-type body design allows for easy installation between two flanges, and the butterfly disc provides a low-pressure drop across the valve when fully open.
The worm gear operated mechanism of the valve provides precise control over the position of the butterfly disc, allowing for accurate flow regulation. The valve can be manually operated using a handwheel or automated using an electric or pneumatic actuator.
Applications for worm gear operated wafer type PTFE seat butterfly valves include chemical processing, water treatment, food and beverage processing, and pharmaceutical production.
