The difference between vulcanized valve seats and general valve seats
Butterfly valve vulcanized valve seat refers to rubber lined butterfly valves; A regular seat refers to a regular rubber seat butterfly valve. The difference between the two is actually the difference between lining rubber and rubber.
The rubber lining in the rubber lined butterfly valve is the use of high temperature to vulcanize the rubber and valve body into a body, which is also known as the vulcanized valve seat mentioned above. This type of valve seat has very high corrosion resistance and is generally used to control some corrosive fluids with strong acidity and alkalinity. But the disadvantage of this vulcanized valve seat is that the valve is disposable. If the vulcanized valve seat is damaged, the entire butterfly valve needs to be replaced
Rubber like butterfly valves are sealed with rubber like seals, and the valve seats are separately installed into the valve body cavity. This type of butterfly valve is mostly used in water system pipelines, with good sealing performance. Another advantage is that if only the rubber valve seat is damaged, the valve seat can be replaced instead of the entire valve, reducing costs.
